This was a wedding that certainly no one will forget!

Jenna & Zak married on the day 14 tornadoes touched down in the state of Wisconsin. When I arrived to Lodge Kohler where the ladies were getting ready, the rain was falling rapidly and the sirens began to sound through out the city. We were all brought down to the lower lever of the hotel where the makeup artists finished the final touches on each of the bridesmaids. Despite the negative news regarding the weather constantly showing up on our phones, everyone kept hope that the rain would hold off for the ceremony that was soon taking place. After about an hour, the warnings were lifted and we were able to head back upstairs where Jenna put on her gorgeous dress.

The rain held off just in time for their outdoor ceremony at the Botanical Gardens. Their dream of getting married in the gardens was granted, and a beautiful ceremony it was! Honestly, there’s something so dreamy about a rainy wedding day in my opinion 🙂

In the end, a gorgeous sunset appeared that evening during their reception at the Oneida Country Club. It was such a drastic change from earlier that day, and one that everyone was extra grateful for. There was another sweet moment at the end of the evening where the DJ played a song in tribute to Jenna’s father, who has a passed away when she was just a teen. I don’t think there was a dry eye on that dance floor, as everyone celebrated his life by getting out on the floor to Jump Around by House of Pain.

These two deserved the best day, and they certainly got it!

Congratulations Mr & Mrs Manders!
