In May, Nicholas and I headed to Nashville, Tennessee so that I could attend a photography workshop at The Cordelle, hosted by Love is a Big Deal; a talented husband and wife destination wedding photography duo. The workshop was called Unposed, and dug into the idea of having your couples ‘play’ instead of posing them in stiff, awkward, and untrue to the moment poses. I learned so much during the 4 hour class, and met some pretty amazing & talented people during the process!
After the workshop, everyone met at Acme Feed & Seed; a multilevel restaurant, cocktail bar, and music venue. We chatted until late into the evening, and then parted ways, as everyone went to explore different parts of Broadway.
A few days later, Nick and I set off to Gatlinburg to go spend time in the Smoky Mountains, where we reserved a 2 night stay at a charming little cabin in the woods of Pigeon Forge. We spent the entire day in Great Smoky Mountain National Park; sight seeing, taking pictures, and going on short hikes. A few bears and baby cubs even graced us with their presence during our time spent here!
Until next time, Tennessee!
