A few weeks ago Tyler emailed me, looking for a photographer to capture his proposal to his beautiful and sweet girlfriend, Katie. He told me his plans of proposing on the gorgeous Eagle Panorama Overlook at Peninsula State Park in Door County. On the day of the proposal, I got to ‘the spot’ very early, as I was feeling nervous jitters (but he assured me that I wasn’t nearly as nervous as he was feeling all day, prior to proposing!). I sat in my car and waited to see his silver car pull into the lot, and then I knew it was go-time! They walked to the overlook and spent a moment taking in the Wisconsin scenery. I saw him reach into his pocket and get down on one knee, and Katie’s reaction was that of complete surprise and pure joy. It was so heartwarming to see them shed a few happy tears and embrace each other, over the disbelief over what just happened.

After nerves were calmed and phone calls were made announcing their engagement to friends and family, we began taking a few portraits in the beautiful state park. Aren’t they just the cutest!?
